Applied Cyber Team 3-peat as National Champs in CPTC - November 22-24, 2019

The Stanford Applied Cyber Team took 1st place in the Collegiate Penetrating Testing Competition (CPTC) for the 3rd year in a row. Competing against a packed field of talented competitors, the Stanford team responsibly disclosed two previously undiscovered vulnerabilities (“0-days”), both of which were patched by the developers and issued CVEs (official bug tracking method) during the 3 day competition.

Hearty congratulations to RIT and Cal Poly Pomona for their 2nd & 3rd place victories!

Many thanks to the peerless CPTC organizers, magnanimous RIT hosts, and our hometown support from the Stanford School of Engineering, Cyber Policy Center, and the Information Security Office.
